ASPEN SUITE

Aspen, USA – Collection: FORÊT – Finish: FORÊT NATURAL – Architect: Simon Hamui Studio

A Modern Sanctuary – Aspen Suite by Simon Hamui

Perched amidst breathtaking mountain scenery, the Aspen Suite embodies the perfect synergy between architecture and nature. Designed by Simon Hamui, this refined retreat seamlessly blends natural textures with contemporary design, creating a space that inspires tranquility and balance.

Every aspect of the Aspen Suite is thoughtfully designed to enhance the well-being of its occupants. From carefully selected raw materials to purposeful furniture placement, the space fosters a deep connection to its surroundings. Expansive transitions between indoor and outdoor areas dissolve boundaries, immersing residents in an atmosphere of serenity and reflection.

At the heart of this project lies Forêt Natural, a material that underscores Hamui Studio’s design philosophy – where authenticity in texture, the interplay of light, and precision in geometry define the experience. Stone, wood, and soft textiles harmonize effortlessly, while light is sculpted to accentuate the ambiance, enhancing the suite’s organic beauty. Every line, every proportion is carefully aligned with the natural landscape, ensuring a sense of visual and spatial harmony.

CARLTON CANNES

Cannes, FRANCE – Collection: Forêt – Finish:  Forêt Twirl – Architect: Tristan Auer

The rebirth of an icon: Carlton Cannes redefined

Since its grand opening in 1911, the Carlton Cannes has stood as a symbol of glamour and prestige on the French Riviera. An architectural masterpiece at 58 La Croisette, the hotel has long been the backdrop to cinema’s most dazzling moments, hosting the world’s biggest stars during the Cannes Film Festival.

In 2021, the Carlton quietly closed its doors for an ambitious two-year transformation, reopening with a breathtaking new vision. The legendary Art Deco façade remains, but inside, the hotel has been reimagined with unparalleled refinement. Renowned interior architect Tristan Auer, in collaboration with Richard Lavette and the Bâtiments de France, carefully honored the Carlton’s heritage while introducing a modern, sophisticated aesthetic, one that will define its next era.

Through a careful study of the hotel’s archives, Auer ensured that every element pays homage to its historic DNA while embracing the expectations of modern luxury. The result is a harmonious balance between heritage and innovation, reaffirming the Carlton’s place as the ultimate Riviera icon—where cinema legends and global tastemakers feel at home.

OscarOno is proud to have contributed to this extraordinary transformation, bringing our expertise in luxury wood surfaces to a project that redefines timeless elegance.

A historic landmark, reborn for a new era.
